Today
So my math lessons are going really well. Yesterday, I got the kids really excited about squares (which sounds harder than it is) “They’re like the shape-shifters of quadrilaterals because they take on all the properties of the other shapes”. Today we played a couple games to review all of their quadrilaterals. Always, Sometimes, Never was a lot harder on them than the other...

So This is That Moment
Where I realize working on the school play (which should be pretty awesome), writing lesson plans, and working on SMART lessons at school (because SMART makes my MacBook fail and this SMART board hates Powerpoint…) is going to take way more time than I thought it would. Yay, student teaching!
I’m going to get a calzone.

So An Update (Since I Haven't Lately)
Student teaching is still awesome. I say student teaching- I have a read-aloud and review morning work (even then, I misspelled amphibian in front of my kids). I have so many stories I could tell:

I was actually stunned by how awesome having a teacher desk felt.
The kids were going a...
So I'm 50 pages into the Hunger Games...
Does anybody feel like we keep going back to the dead father a bit much… Just really beating you over the head with that… “Then I walked through the doorway. My father used to go through doors like that. That is, until he died in the mines.”(p. 47)
…Okay, it’s not a real quote, but it very well could be…
